High School À La Carte Program (Grades 7-12)
At Upstate Faith Montessori Community, we believe education should inspire students to take ownership of their learning while building confidence, independence, and critical thinking skills that prepare them for life. Our High School À La Carte Program offers homeschooling families the flexibility to design a personalized academic experience while benefiting from expert instruction, a collaborative learning environment, and a student-centered approach that fosters growth and self-discovery.
With a wide range of core academic courses and specialized electives, students in grades 8-12 can tailor their schedules to align with their interests, learning needs, and future goals. Each course is listed with its tuition and credit value, allowing families to mix and match options that best fit their educational journey.

A La Carte Course Program
Our A La Carte Course Program lets students build their own schedule by choosing the classes that fit their interests and goals.

How It Works
-
Students can take as many or as few courses as they’d like.
-
We work hard to find passionate experts in each subject so students get a high-quality education in every class.
-
Tuition is listed per course, but materials fees and registration costs are separate.
-
If a student takes five or more credits in a year, they’ll get a 10% discount on all courses.
-
Spots are limited, so early registration is recommended.

Class Schedules
-
High school core courses (9th-12th grade) meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM.
-
Middle school core courses (6th-8th grade) meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM.
-
After 2:00 PM, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities to give students even more ways to explore their interests.
We’re excited to provide a flexible and enriching learning experience for homeschool families. If you have any questions or need help choosing courses, just let us know—we’re happy to help!

Subject to Change
Courses listed in this catalog are subject to change based on enrollment. Classes may be added, modified, or canceled depending on student interest and scheduling needs. We encourage early enrollment to help ensure course availability.

Please Note
Not all high school classes are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays, and not all middle school classes are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please refer to the course schedule for the exact dates and times of the classes you select.

Montessori Philosophy & Approach
At this stage, Montessori education shifts from hands-on materials to a deeper focus on valorization of the individual—helping adolescents develop a strong sense of self, responsibility, and purpose. Our program fosters:
-
Independence & Self-Motivation – Encouraging students to take ownership of their education and time management.
-
Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving – Engaging students in discussions, research, and projects that challenge their perspectives and deepen understanding.
-
Real-World Application – Connecting coursework to practical experiences that prepare students for college, careers, and life beyond school.
-
Community & Social Development – Providing a supportive peer environment where students collaborate, communicate, and grow in confidence.
